It’s not just the “top players”…

Ok, so let me first admit… I stink at posting my thoughts about Adam’s sermon’s on Mondays… but that’s ok.  This is Fair Week and everything is a little crazy about our schedules!  🙂

Adam wrapped up his sermon series on Ephesians by talking through Ephesians 4:11-13:

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

The bottom line of his message was that God did not give us those  who are seen as the “top players” in the Church to be on His team.  Not just the ministers or “the band”… but He called the whole Church with all their different talents to work together to further the work of God’s Kingdom in Brown County.

So those who are nursery worker, youth sponsors, money counters, communion fillers, custodians, secretaries, sound guys (or girls), computer workers, greeters… all of these people and MORE need to work together to make “church” happen so that together we canbe THE Church and reach people for Christ in our community.
